We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our client’s team and contribute to the quality assurance lifecycle of our software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing software across various phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Functional Testing. This role may also include designing automation test suites, setting up performance testing environments, and developing end-to-end system tests.
Responsibilities
Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications across different platforms and browsers (iOS, Android, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and cases
Read and analyze reports from various testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jenkins, and Cypress
Conduct accessibility testing for both web and native mobile applications
Utilize Gherkin syntax to write clear and structured test scenarios (Given, When, Then)
Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain high-quality standards across the application lifecycle
Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies
Mandatory Qualifications
10+ years of relevant professional experience in software testing and QA engineering (excluding training period)
5+ years of on-site client-facing experience in similar technology and domain
Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field required; Master’s degree preferred
Desired Skills
Proficient in web and mobile testing (cross-browser and cross-device compatibility)
Strong experience with testing tools and frameworks including Playwright, Jenkins, and Cypress
Familiarity with accessibility testing standards and tools for web and mobile platforms
Working knowledge of Gherkin syntax for behavior-driven development (BDD)
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong grasp of QA methodologies and best practices
Ability to write, maintain, and execute detailed test cases
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Strong problem-solving capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bonus Skills
Experience writing automation tests
Familiarity with creating and managing Jenkins jobs
