Looking for a Quality Manager around the Jeffersonville, IN / Lousiville, KY area. Will be working with the Kentucky Truck Plant. Someone who is familiar with Ford Standards and issues, GM, or Stellantis. Having a machining and metal background.
Monday – Friday, 8-4:30 Flexible. At least once a month, come in at 5:30-6am and meet with all the crews for all the shifts. 110 people work there, around 5 direct reports.

Essential Functions
Process owner of Customer Satisfaction, Product Realization, Internal Audits, and Improvement
Establish goals, objectives and targets.
Update Management Review Trend Charts both internal and Corporate
Ensue that the processes are delivering their intended outputs.
Report on the performance of the process and on opportunities for improvement at Management Review
Chair Improvement meetings, publish meeting minutes
Lead Improvement projects and activities as they relate to Customer Satisfaction, Product Realization, Internal Audits, and Improvement
Participate in other Improvement projects as assigned
Ensure the management system conforms to the requirements of the international standard
Ensure that the integrity of the management system is maintained when changes to the management system are planned and implemented.
Responsible for representing the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing IATF-16949 requirements such as; selection of special characteristics, review of customer scorecards and portals, related training, Corrective/Preventive Action, AQP, product design and development, logistics information, and ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
Initiates material customer complaint notice and tracks 8D response to written corrective action when required.
Direct problem solving activities, corrective and preventive actions as related to product quality.
Ensure personnel responsible for conformity to product requirements have the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.
Ensures personnel with authority and responsibility for corrective action are promptly informed of products or processes that do not conform to requirements to ensure that nonconforming product is not shipped to the customer and that all potential nonconforming product is identified and contained.
Plan and implement process control systems, maintain control plans, FMEA s and flow charts for all products and processes.
Responsible for all customer trials

Qualifications and Skills
General Educational Development typically associated with the completion of a Bachelor s Degree Program or equivalent work related experience
Related Quality Certifications or a minimum of 5 years work related experience
Specific knowledge of Quality Systems and Quality Engineering beneficial
Ability to use basic office software and systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic.
Self-motivated, self-directed and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capable of handling multiple activities at the same time.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership skills such as decision-making, training, motivation, and problem-solving.
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively.
Flexible with working overtime as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates in a heavy industrial steel processing and distribution plant. When on the plant floor the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be appropriately worn. This position also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, ascending/descending stairs, and climbing as well as, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Extended hours, nights and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs.
