Mothership's client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Research Assistant

to support their team in Cleveland, Ohio. This position plays a crucial role in contributing to cutting-edge projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a supportive and innovative workplace.

Location: Cleveland, OH

Pay: $21 per hour

This is an onsite W2 contract position with a possible conversion to a full time position.

Responsibilities:

As a Research Assistant, you will:

  • Perform and document all procedures, materials, and results efficiently while adhering to applicable regulatory standards (protocols, methods, SOPs, etc.).
  • Demonstrate effective communication through discussions with peers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Assist with laboratory maintenance and support functions, such as labeling and solution preparation.
  • Maintain study-specific inventory of consumables with oversight.
  • Write and manage both study and non-study deviations with minimal oversight.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives with guidance.
  • Develop critical thinking, troubleshooting, and time management skills in alignment with operational needs.
  • Assist in executing routine studies and assay/method validation projects with oversight.
  • Operate laboratory instruments with complete supervision.
  • Assist with data analysis using appropriate software for at least one platform.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelors degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience (no previous work experience required).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General computer skills and the ability to learn validated systems.
  • Availability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, or shifts on short notice.
  • The ability to work under specific time constraints.
